This photo is NOT colorized. It’s the work of Russian photographer [Prokudin-Gorskii](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Prokudin-Gorsky), who pioneered some of the earliest color photography techniques. His method relied on taking multiple color-separated photos, then recombining the negatives into a single color image. The color artifacts around the edge of the photo are a legacy of that process.
