There’s so much about the trooper’s stance and expression that’s interesting. Is he incredulous? Does he find dark humour in the situation? Is he resigned to it (‘things will never change’)? Is he just smiling because he likes kids, and he figures this one couldn’t choose his parents so he may as well be kind?

I’m always appalled whenever I see videos of the Klan and see people with their kids there. They have no idea what’s going on at this age. Leave your rhetoric out of their life
