Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Preps for Yom Kippur in Wake of Hurricane Florence

You read it correctly – The special allocation is meant for “Chosen” criminals in the path of Florence, and for one day only!

The six million dollars question here is… How many “Jewish” prisoners are we talking about?

According to Gary Friedman, the director of Jewish Prisoner Services International, says that roughly 1% of the prison population in the U.S. is Jewish – 12,000 to 15,000 Jews in U.S. prisons.

According to another source: “In New York alone, officials say about 3,800 inmates have identified themselves on official forms as Jewish.

In another word, number of inmates belonging to the “Chosen” tribes in the Florence path are likely to number in… What? Several people, or at most 1-2 dozens or so? And the criminal dining bill for day is more than $21 grands?

Anyway, TMZ reported some Jewish federal prisoners wanna keep things kosher for Yom Kippur … and the Federal Bureau of Prisons is accommodating, especially for facilities affected by Hurricane Florence.

The docs show the Bureau spent $21,799 on kosher items, with the holiest Jewish holiday coming up — which begins sundown Tuesday with a breakfast Wednesday at sundown.

Jewish prisoners in all facilities around the country will have access to kosher food, but the $21,799 is specifically earmarked for prisons in the path of Florence. The figure represents food already purchased for the hurricane-affected areas, especially in case markets are shut down before Yom Kippur hits.

The Bureau also dropped $8,650 for Dasani bottled water and $4,269 for 40 basic portable restrooms … all for prisoners in the event damage from Hurricane Florence disables restrooms.

Regardless, it’s good to know there are prisoners who belong to the “Chosen” tribe, because this proves the word “Chosen” is nothing but BS. The “Chosen Ones” can be bad just like anyone else.

Second, I didn’t know the “Chosen Criminals” also enjoy privilege and special treatment while serving time. Now that makes Jeff Bezo looks likes a saint.
