Beautiful colorization work! I read "The Fish That Ate the Whale" this year, which tells the story of the Banana industry’s rise and the man who monopolized the trade. Fascinating bit of history considering we all eat so many bananas now.

I wonder if these are Gros Michel bananas. We switched to the cavendish banana in the 50s due to widespread disease. This is apparently happening again it now to the cavendish.
