People know that Ferdinand Porsche built the VW because Hitler (a capable painter himself) gave him sketches of how he envisioned the car. So the VW bug is seen as a german Achievement of Porsche and Hitler.
Truth is that Hitler just stole the design (he saw it in a car show) from Joseph Ganz, a Jewish car designer that came up with the concept of a people’s car around 1933.
