North vietnamese solider escorting south vietnam President Duong Van Minh and prime minister Thu van mau to Saigon radio station so he can read the unconditional surrender term, fall of Saigon April 30 1975 [669×451]
I’m amazed that these two weren’t the first one to find a way to escape, why didn’t they.

there is a story, it said that:
Duong Van Minh was sitting cheerlessly with about 50 high-ranking government members and officials. They saw the liberation army rushing in, they stood up, Duong Van Minh then said: we had waited impatiently for you from the morning to make the handover ceremony. One nva officer then said: You have failed, the whole government has collapsed completely, you cannot hand over what you don’t have, you have to surrender now.
i must admit, as a vietnamese myself this sound alot like Propaganda, but just a thought about Duong van minh being roasted by a nva officer is just hilarious
