Monkfellow: In the middle of a war they’re still teenagers, under the surface. I love the look on their faces and it makes me sad at the same time.
Duncekid101: They’ve must have been around 12-14 when the war came to Yugoslavia in 1941. They were probably from Serbian part of YU, which saw of the nastiest combat in the years prior to the Syrmian front. And the Front itself is notorius for being a particularly deadly for very young & unexperincred conscripts.
Still, it brings joy to see some evidence of happiness in those times …
