I’m surprised he’s not sat in that fancy high chair at the top. Anyone know who that is?

Adolf Hitler declares war on the United States of America, claiming that he is honoring Germany’s commitments to Japan under the Tripartite Pact. Later this same day, the U.S. Congress will issue a declaration of war against Germany and Italy as well.
In fact, the Tripartite Pact doesn’t obligate a nation to declare war under circumstances such as these. Hitler believes, however, that war with the United States is inevitable, and while he would prefer to have full control of continental Europe first, he’s willing to take advantage of the current opportunity and move forward.
Like the Japanese leaders, he radically underestimates the American production capacity and willingness to turn that capacity over to wartime needs. He also underestimates the ability of America to fight on two distant fronts at the same time as well as America’s willingness to focus first on him in Europe rather than on the Pacific, where America was first attacked.

That was also during the time of the Blitz in London. My mom was eight years when she fled to the countryside- she told me of being separated and not able to find the rest of her siblings. I can’t even imagine living in a time like that.

Interesting, and kind of rambling.

Below Hitler and to the right, there appear to be 2 men sitting in the same chair.
