Shortly after noon on the 16th of September, 1920, a horse drawn wagon containing a bomb exploded near the Stock Exchange in the Financial District of NYC, across the street from 23 Wall Street. 30 people were killed in the blast and 8 died later of wounds. The perpetrators were never caught.
To this day there is damage to some of the buildings surrounding that area.
