Thank you for sharing this. I never heard of this and I work in a US Military Museum haha. I was aware that the US sent supplies to the Counter-Revolutionaries, but I was not aware the US actually sent soldiers.

My favorite part of this (sad) saga is Japan’s intervention force.
Britian: we’re gonna send some of our navy and a few thousand troops
Belgium: we will commit some of our troops
Czechs: fuck it we’re already here might as well
US: killing commies? I don’t know why but I’m in here’s a few thousand hardy northern folk who know snow and cold
Japan: we will commit 70,000 troops.
Allies: … Japan I think you have ulterior motives here.
