I think those donkeys are way too small to carry that weight over their backs. It must be painfull

I watched the movie Gallipoli with Mel Gibson and now I ALWAYS wonder about these pictures. In the movie they are in Cairo and get their pictures taken like this in front of a backdrop nowhere near the pyramids and the sphinx. One of my family members had a picture taken like this and I never got to ask if they were in front of a backdrop or the real deal.
