Baltimore Detective was murdered with his own gun a day before he was set to testify before a grand jury in an ongoing federal investigation of police corruption and drug shakedowns by an elite gun recovery unit.
A Baltimore police detective was shot in the head with his own gun at close range while struggling with a man and died with his radio still clutched in his left hand, the city’s top law enforcement official said Wednesday.
Detective Sean Suiter’s death came a day before he was set to testify before a grand jury in an ongoing federal investigation of police corruption and drug shakedowns by an elite gun recovery unit.
Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said he was assured by prosecutors and the FBI that Suiter, an 18-year veteran of the force, was not a target of the investigation that has led to the indictments of eight current officers. Four have pleaded guilty to racketeering charges.
Davis said Suiter’s testimony was to have been about an incident several years ago involving some of the indicted officers. The commissioner sought to dispel notions Suiter was targeted the afternoon of Nov. 15 and said evidence gathered so far refutes the notion of a conspiracy.
“The encounter with a man was a spontaneous observation of a man behaving suspiciously and a spontaneous decision to investigate his conduct,” Davis said. But, he said, “I understand the speculation that exists.” Source

datsallvolks: After 9/11 cops were worshipped as heroes and could do no wrong. This lasted for over a decade. There were no checks on their power and we all know that power corrupts.
Also, the police in virtually every major city has a problem with getting people in the community to cooperate with homicide investigations. The police always cry about this, “We need your help”. But then they treat everyone like criminals in those same neighborhoods.
Lastly, when a cop commits a crime it is very rare that other cops who witness it will report it or cooperate with the investigation. They do the exact thing they decry in the neighborhoods. In Boston they tried to outlaw “snitches get stitches” t-shirts. Looks like cop snitches get a whole lot worse than stitches.
GaryGundark: > 18 year veteran of the department……43 and a married father of five
This is heartbreaking to think about, damn.
datsallvolks: Is this the same neighborhood that got put on unconstitutional lock-down after the shooting? Not investigating but intimidating witnesses.

Christ.
it’s a criminal conspiracy in a city so mired with corruption that they can’t even be bothered to make a half-assed attempt at covering it up.
justthetipsir17: I didn’t see any mention of camera footage. Don’t these cops wear body cams? I know they’ve got cameras around the neighborhood too. The place is a ghetto. NSFL.
Toppi_The_Topic: pfft crazy conspiracy theorists, finding coincidences in everything…
CrazyCarl1986: All part of the game.
JonnieCage: Pure coincidence guys. Pure coincidence…
Middleman79: Isn’t this from ‘The shield’
TheMadBonger: Suiter’s partner, who has not been named publicly by the department and is considered a police witness in the shooting, Davis has said, took cover at the sound of gunfire and called in the shooting on his cellphone.
This detail right here is highly suspicious. Why the cellphone? Don’t officers all have aradio on their shoulder? I’m guessing the partner was near the police vehicle as well. This makes me suspect something is amiss. Let’s see what’s stronger. The police’s will to catch cop killers, or the police’s will to cover their asses and keep the blue wall of justice intact.
PM_ME_VULVA_JEWELRY: U can’t corner the dorner
Thameus: Am I supposed to believe he wasn’t already deposed, which now gives his deposition the same force as his actual testimony?

TheNecc: This feels like it’s a scene from a movie. Very fucked up
sourpat: How much do you want to bet the person who killed the Detective is now dead
tswarb75: Baltimore, man. Baltimore.
Roylmc: So are they occupying the neighborhood to cover up their involvement with the murder? Were they out of the loop, and showing force as a reaction to the story his partner gave? It’s WP, so psyop?
PrussianHacker: Now THIS is a real conspiracy
expletivdeleted: proving once again, one good apple can’t de-rotten the barrel.
Joat35: We’re going to get another Dorner type situation sooner than later.
gunga_lunga: All cops are heroes, everybody. Never forget that. They have a hard job and you have no right to judge them. Every day on the street is like a day in a combat zone. They need armored personnel carriers, drones, robots, snipers, and especially those super sweet wrap around sunglasses. Bottom line is, don’t ever question a cops authority, cuz that’s disrespectful and wrong. Heroes. All of them. Don’t forget it.
SavageAmericanIndian: BLUE LIVES MATTER.
Black families lives matter.
All lives matter.
Stranger_From_101: I feel bad for this officer and his family.
What a d@mn coincidence, huh? Quite ridiculous.
Rude1231: While I’m being downvoted for every question that I ask, I would still like to know how the mainstream media is reporting this?
ologfrog: I live in Baltimore and I’ve been saying it’s fishy from day one.
sackajahweeda: I wonder who could have done thissss??? (I suppose there is no need to follow up with a /s here is there?!)
dothackslash: Down vote for needing to subscribe to read article. Don’t take it personally, it’s a comment on the sites practices
neoconbob: right out of the clinton playbook. fuck trump, fuck the clintons.
Rude1231: Did they call it “murder” or “suicide?” Considering his position, either sounds plausible, but I’m curious as to how it is being defined.
Barthaneous: See when you are about to take part in something this big, then why TF would you not surround yourself with family and friends? I mean you got to be a detective because you are smart right? Well how smart was it to think it was safe to live in your house alone when you are going up against the entire police force on corruption charges? Seriosuly being alone is the last thing i would do. I mean I would have even bought a few guard dogs in the mean time. Also after I was done winning and outting corrupt people in jail I would leave the state and make a new name and away from anyone trying to find me amnd my family. HAVE WE NOT WATCHED MOVIES BEFORE?
TheStrangeTamer: Here is my Shocked face. ;P
Baltimore cop Sean Suiter funeral today. Killed by fellow cops day before he was to testify before federal grand jury.
Dead man tell no tales.
Whaddaya Say?
