A lot of people were distraught that Tsoi passed. Some even killed themselves. They say Tsoi was a sort of cultural revolutionary figure through music especially since the Soviets were collapsing, there are conspiracies they may have killed him by loosening stuff on the car.

He was rather average, in my opinion. His songs had such an abstract meaning that they are more of a word salad. Some melodies were pleasing.
The only thing I agree with him, Morskoe was a cool place.

Upon my discovery of Russian and Ukrainian music, I came across Kino.
Awesome band. It’s permanently in my music library, for car rides, work out, or just chilling at home.
