Here’s a little story about Nowy Sacz. From 1941 a man would hide Jews in the town squares main building. They would hide inside the clock and whenever the man came everyday to “fix the clock” he would actually feed them. He managed to hide them until 1943 until they escaped.
I don’t know if they survived the war.

So weird. I just started doing some family genealogy a few months back and found out my great grandmother and her parents were from Nowy Sącz.
