I know that the RN reuse names constantly but do you know if this was the same ship sunk in the Falklands? It doubt it looking at the date but I could be possible.

It’s a beautiful port. When I went there it was stunning how it looked. Everyone there wanted to see our ship, we wanted to see their island.

What a cool photograph! My family sailed on MV Britannic from Southampton, England, to New York back in 1957. This was before cross-Atlantic travel by air was common. I was four years old at the time, so I can just barely remember the passage.
