Unlike the Germans who have acknowledged and reconciled with their horrible past, the Japanese have not accepted their war crimes against humanity and in the particular against th Koreans. This national refusal will continue to be the source of major conflict between Japan and Korea.
So sad.

A shame that these women’s lives were ruined. Even after they returned to their home cities and villages, no one would marry them as they were seen as “damaged goods” and made to feel shame – even though they did NOT volunteer to be comfort women and were forcibly abducted by the Japanese army.
