Except he wasn’t the actual assassin and the mob were taking out their main witness who could tell the truth while the CIA/Police allowed them to do it. Investigations since have shown it was high level CIA in conjunction with the mob who assassinated Kennedy and even talked him into driving with the roof off.

I’ve seen this photo countless times, seen the video just as many. And though I knew the officer in the hat was handcuffed to Oswald to keep him from running, I just now noticed that he has his hand stuffed into Oswalds pants. Isn’t that strange.

I never knew there was a picture of this

What ever happened to him did he also get arrested?

Very interesting. Does that mean there exists a picture of Jack Ruby getting shot ?

This photo was taken by Bob Jackson of the Dallas Times Herald and ended up winning him a Pulitzer Prize. Unfortunately rival photographer Jack Beers of the Dallas Morning News snapped his photo a split second sooner than Bob did and that was the difference in winning a Pulitzer vs. not winning one.

Alleged assassin. There are a lot of really suspicious circumstances and unanswered questions about the events of that day.
Start off with the fact that the hole in the rear of JFK’s head was measured to be SMALLER than the calibre of bullet Oswald was supposed to have fired.
There’s a lot more, but basically the more you find out about the case the more you smell a rat.
edit: downvote away, but it’s true. Even some of the members of the Warren Commission expressed the idea that they weren’t confident about the findings of their own report. That’s about as damning as you can get.
This is one more unexplained mystery. Seems that they knew each other and both were CIA and FBI informants.

It was live on television. I was in 2nd grade and remember seeing it.

I have this crazy idea that Oswald did it, he was acting alone and that Ruby shot him in a random fit of rage because he loved the president that much. Dumb, I know… 🤷♂️

Oswald’s face in this photo always reminds me of Edward Norton for some reason.

I find it crazy that no one else got hit by the bullet.

Ruby was seen by the cops as a benign friend of the police dept and was allowed far too much access. Sources close to him said that he had been absolutely devastated and near inconsolable over Kennedy’s death, like to an almost bizarre degree for a Dallas club owner. In the time leading up to Oswalds arrest and booking Ruby had been bringing sandwiches to the cops and keeping up with the investigation. It almost seemed like Ruby thought he was one of the boys. I think he had a screw or two loose. The police were of course shocked when he shot Oswald as despite being a club owner Ruby was really seen as more of a puppy dog. All of the conspiracy mob ties that you hear in regards to his involvement in the whole debacle actually do seem somewhat legitimate on the surface but imo there’s no way Ruby was acting on orders, he wasn’t very clever and wasn’t even really on the criminal radar.

The man in the lighter colored suit escorting Oswald was a Dallas homicide detective named Jim Leavelle.
When I was in highschool, one day my dad and I were hanging out with a neighbor that lived two doors down from us. I think we were talking guitars and music and he invited us over to his home office to show us some of his collection.
He had a very large version of this photo on the wall with several other pieces of memorabilia from the whole JFK assassination. I was very in to the history of the event at the time and immediately started with the questions.
It turned out, the guy was the son of Jim Leavelle and had plenty of stories to tell. I convinced him to come speak to my US history class one day and share his stories. It was a very cool gesture and something I’ll never forget.

I have this photo on my wall in newspaper form, I found a trove of old newspapers in my city at an estate sale, hung the best of them.
I actually saw this live on television! As a teenager, I was devastated by the Kennedy assassination and was glued to the tv all the time! Was Jack Ruby a set up? Apparently he was dying of cancer so not much to lose.
