"The bus made more than 150 border crossings without ever being held up for ‘serious scrutiny or bribery at the state borders.’ "
Would have been one hell of an adventure. For the double decker bus, how many passengers?

As someone that did one 24 hour shitty bus ride, this is one of the most completely and utterly brutal things I have ever seen

Stops at Tooting?

Signage says 15 countries, OP names 11….I wonder what the other 4 were. In those days, there were still countries like Yugoslavia around, so who knows where else they went through en route?

I did a 12 hour bus ride and my back was dead my legs were sore and my neck was killing me. I swore off bus rides longer than 3-4 hours that day. I can’t imagine how hard this would have been unless they had extremely spacious and comfortable seats that could be pulled back so you could sleep.

Looks like a fun roadtrip. How long did it take and how comfortable was the ride?
