The year after the Korean War ended, Marilyn Monroe stopped by to entertain the U.S. troops still stationed there. It was only a minor detour for the film star—Marilyn was on honeymoon in Japan with baseball player Joe DiMaggio after their wedding.
She toured more than ten bases, and gave a show in every one. In total, she performed to more than 100,000 military men.
Just eight months after the wedding, she and DiMagggio would be divorced.
Now I’m no tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist but that upside down star next to 33 (both are Masonic signifiers iirc) seems a little coincidental. Not that I have any idea what it might signify.
