neocommenter: This made me wonder what the oldest bar in the US was, so for the curious like me: The White Horse Tavern in Newport, Rhode Island which opened in 1673 and still going strong.
freddybear72: Whenever I see old photos I wonder who the people were. What they did with their lives. The boy in this picture was young but even he’s long gone now. In the future people will be able to find out who people were from photos. We’re all over social media and tagged in photos all over. These people didn’t have that and we’ll most likely never know who they were.
