Since Paul never met John before July 6, 1957, I doubt this photo is from 1955. Paul was born in 1942.

This image is actually from 14th of October 1957, and it was Pauls first performance with the Quarry Men. Regarding the question if the one on the right is George; it is not. George did not join until 1958, and the guy on the right is Eric Griffiths. The other two is Colin Hanton and Len Garry. Hope this clarifies things!
