Are there any french troops visible in this photograph or is the French position where the photograph was taken from
If I remember correctly, this is the first photograph ever taken of a battle in action
What about the Battle of Convertible?
higher resolution, https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/86/Moncelle01091870.jpg
Back when people lined up in battle to shoot each other
What’s a skirmish line mean to do?
Why do all the buildings look like they are at the same angle without proper perspective? Like they have no depth. Kind of looks like those old paintings of cities before they figured out how to paint depth perception/perspective of leading lines, etc
Neat, this is what it [looks like now](https://firstname.lastname@example.org,4.9824182,3a,60.5y,103.2h,83.11t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sMNcL75p5Fi6ppg-uuVS4Sw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en). Edited: I think you have to click the link, otherwise it gives you a map view instead of the google street view and you can fiddle around with the exact positioning.
