Badge of Honour and medal for Battle Merit for the Finnish campaign. Was a POW in 1941, escaped. Wounded twice. The Order of the Red Star and campaign medal for Stalingrad. Order of the Patriotic War in 1944 (I’ve no info why).

JFYI, [Dolmatovsky](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeniy_Dolmatovsky) was quite famous later for his poetry, but all through the war he served as frontline correspondent for an Army newspaper.
