Best known for his childrens books, but worth reading his wiki page – he was a WW2 fighter ace and intelligence officer as well…….
Oof I don’t like that blanket so close to the heater!
It’s always fascinating to me to see the environments that artists create in. Growing up with his work you might imagine he wrote in a magically gorgeous garden full of color. I look at this and I think it looks, cold, drab, messy, even depressing. But that’s where he felt in the zone. This is a place he felt inspired to be in. I love it.
I read all his books growing up a child, one of the best authors.
