KO’d but OK’d: Shopper kicks thief in head, triggering fit – then SAVES his life
A ROBBER suffered a fit after being KO’d with a kick – and then was SAVED by the same shopper who delivered the blow.
The masked and hoodie-wearing thief – holding his hand underneath his sweatshirt to suggest he had a gun – walked into a jewellery store and threw a swag bag on the counter.
He demanded the shop assistant fill it with pricey pieces and it is clear from security footage that she and a customer are completely taken aback by the menacing intruder.
Just seconds later, the thief is blindsided by a perfectly-executed swift martial arts-style kick to the head from the onlooking shopper.
But the blow triggered an epileptic fit and the thief began to convulse violently on the floor of the store, obviously in need of help.
The customer who had delivered the perfectly-executed kick then stepped in to hold down the shaking thief and stop him swallowing his tongue.
He tried to put the robber in the recovery position while urging the shocked shop assistant to call the emergency services.
Eventually, the epileptic man stops convulsing and his helped to sit up by the customer.
The hold-up happened at just after 11am on April 16 in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk.
What sent locals into a frenzy was the fact that just days after the incident, the city hosted the World Taekwondo Championships – suggesting the customer who landed the knockout kick and then delivered first aid was an top martial artist due to participate in the contest.
