vasilywosck: The Nazis actually got hold of the Soviet pavilions design plans, and intentionally made their’s slightly taller to give the impression of being a “bulwark against communism”.
Despite this, Albert Speer (the designer of the pavilion) noted in his autobiography that he liked the Soviet pavilion more, due to its iconic statue.
