The Controlled Impact Demonstration – a joint project between NASA and the FAA in which a Boeing 720 was deliberately crashed in order to test the ability of the fuel additive FM-9 to inhibit the ignition and flame propagation of Jet-A fuel.

Looks like it didn’t work to well.
