Genuinely thought it was a spider infested bridge.
Surely there was a better way?
what about birds and winds and things to pull the lines down
Cable ties hadnt yet been invented?
Did multiplexing help solve this issue?
Wasn’t there a movie made that took place in one of these towers?
a couple pics found on Imgur: [https://imgur.com/a/1YBMp](https://imgur.com/a/1YBMp)
and some here https://twistedsifter.com/2014/08/stockholm-telephone-tower-connects-5000-lines/
I read it as “teleport” tower the first time through. Telephone tower makes much more sense, abiet less cool 🙁
A link to a decent resolution image:
Telefontornet just means “the telephone tower”, so your title reads –

Jesus, that’s a terrorist target if I’ve ever seen one.
The guys at /r/cableporn would have an aneurysm.
Heh. In fact it’s on their “don’t repost this again” list with the caption:
> The Stockholm Telephone cables.

Imagine one of the lines stopped working and you were the guy having to climb into that fog of wires to fix/remove it

I’d have to think birds didn’t see this flying at night and we’re constantly running into it
