I always wonder why a lot of these planes went down with the whole crew. I mean sure the tail gunner and ball turret gunner and pilots had the most trouble getting out. But the side gunners had those openings right there and if I’m them and saw that stabilizer knocked off I’d of been out that opening immediately. There is no way that plane is staying in the sky with that gone. But I guess you’ll never know what you’d do till ur in that situation.
