hogger85: Happened in Czech Republic. There was an interview with store manager and he said that workes who helped to stop the thieves will get bonus in next pay. ?? Edit:source in Czech here
theImplication69: If I were on one of the forklifts I wouldn’t have the restraint to not try lifting the car.
Badpancakes: The situation every forklift operator secretly longs for
Mirmadook: He went so fast around that tiny corner that it looked like he was drifting.
landon912: Forlifts turn with their back tires. Very agile.
OprahsSister: Agile. Sleek. Classy. – Matthew McConaughey.
ExtremelykKinky: Yeah, I live in the US and I’ve had my Assistant Manager get let go for chasing a thief. They ran out the front door with about 200-300$ worth of stuff. She ran out after them and got their licence plate number and was yelling at them and stuff and I knew right as she ran out she was a goner. “No chase” is a very common policy. You never know who’s going to have a weapon and be willing to use it over a few hundred bucks.

At the major outlets, employees are only allowed to use the forklifts in specific ways. If they go putside the rules they can easily get fired. I had a friend who got fired for using a forklift with another person as a ladder to reach something. not only was he fired, they fought against unemployment benefits.
I verified this with a manager at the place and he said the problem was it was on video and they had to get rid of my friend because of insurance reasons
Edit add: yes, I know he is stupid in general, he makes plenty of bad life choices overall. I am not defending him, i am just reposting what happened.
