   Fun fact: this is actually the origin story for Spongebob. That’s why his community is called “BIKINI Bottom”.

   EDIT: maybe less fact, more theory. But plenty of evidence in the show leads to this conclusion and the only person who really knows for sure is dead. I choose to believe it.
