Didn’t know this until I looked it up, but this photo was taken after the first stabbing (to the left side of Asanuma’s ribs) and during the attempted second stabbing which was stopped

Assassin commited suicide in police custody shortly after. Had he lived to an older age I’m sure he would’ve come to feel remorseful about this hideous act.
