Also, in 1995, 427 suitcases of patients (that all died at Willard) were found in the attic of one of the buildings. The cases were placed in a permanent collection at New York State Museum. Then in 2011, photographer Jon Crispin began documenting what was found in the suitcases, sharing a bit of the lives that were forgotten.
