That is really fascinating to me. Did those ships ultimately sink and/or get swept out to sea? How long did it take to "clean" the beach up? I figure three years is a decent amount of time to clean the shore up.

I always loved to learn about WWll but this photo struck me. The thousands of people that fought Germans to free Poland and other countries. But the biggest question is. Is there still dead bodies on the beach?
