Say what you will about automobiles and their negative environmental effects, at least the streets of New York and other major cities aren’t filled with horses being worked to death (or already dead).

This is the year my grandmother was born. Crazy to think that she was around for this stuff, and still around to watch Desperate Housewives 90 something years later. She died in 2013
