lwnexgen: So your great-great uncle?
lo_fi_ho: What happened to him, if I may ask?
deaduser00: My GF’s great-grandfather. https://imgur.com/gallery/3sPMM
I wonder if they met
purdinpopo: It is amazing that all these guys are gone. When I was in high school i was in Army ROTC. I was on their color guard, and we would go to funerals and dedications. The area I lived in had a VFW just for WWI vets, they had their own Color Guard. I would stop and talk to those guys when I could, they would tell me stories. They were by leaps and bounds the most Patriotic people I ever met, and most of them were treated horribly by the US government, but they would have gladly laid their lives on the line, if they were needed. One of their Color Guard members dropped dead during a cemetery dedication.
fordag: Interesting that his ammunition pouches are empty. My guess is a photo from a training camp?
SpartaWillBurn: Any stories?
micros101: I could be wrong but that looks like a British Enfield pattern 14 rifle.
batman21x: Army Infantryman from the information I have

basec0m: If you zoom in, he looks like the bad guy (Captain Vidal) in Pan’s Labyrinth.
