My grandfather got to see the Hindenburg fly over his town (Worcester, MA) when he was a boy. He told me the school teachers planned ahead to get the class outside and had them look at the sky for the airship. It’s pretty crazy to think he got to see the thing.

So I’m curious because of the Nazi flag. How was this zeplin allowed to fly over the US like this with those on it? We’re we still like nah fuck the war at this point?
