They all look beautiful. I don’t believe I’ve ever saw or heard his name before, I just remember them calling him the Shah of Iran

Lets say thank you to a Shah who tanked an entire nations economy hard just to throw some idiotic party; of which the after effects ( alongside other deep rooted problems ) caused the Islamic Revolution and Irans current Theocratic Gov.
I’m not pro-royalty in general, but if you’re gonna have a monarch, then go big with the crowns like these folks did.

I had a high school English teacher who was part of the Iranian royal family. Not exactly sure the connection but they exiled to America. She looked a lot like the woman on the left

Imagine having a father who overthrew the previous Qajar dynasty because they did not care for the country, and were just using it to further their own livelihood.
Then you don’t follow in your fathers footsteps but follow in the Qajars down the path of decadence.

I taught high school history in the late 70’s. I had two Iranian emigre students in class. The girl was very attractive, well dressed. The boy wore the same clothes to school every day. Obviously on the opposite ends of Iranian society. They frequently argued in Farsi (Persian) during current events discussions.

The current Islamic regime is terrible for the people as we’ve seen, but the Shah was no better. There’s a reason he was overthrown; he was very unpopular
Terrible fucking regime, but damn princess Shahnaz is a babe in this pic.

The 1953 Iranian coup d’état (CIA/MI6) over there the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in favour of the continuous of Shah’s monarch……
Mossadegh was kept under house arrest at his Ahmadabad residence, until his death on 5 March 1967.
