USS Arizona was damaged beyond repair during the Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Many parts have been salvaged and put to use on other ships. Shown: A diver as he ascends from the oily interior of the sunken battleship. [1200 x 1508]
Parts of the USS Arizona where placed on the USS Arkansas before It was decommissioned and turned into a museum.

What’s crazy is that oil is still slowly leaking if you go there and if you served on the Arizona, they will take your ashes and a diver will place them on the sunken remains so you can lay with your crew

Japan did this to American, and America rebuilt their country as a thanks. Japan owes us one.

Man I see this and I just wonder if that guy had any long term health effects from wading through oil with no protective clothing.

Fun fact, one of the original bells from the USS Arizona is now located in the bell tower of the University of Arizona student union.
